Anadarko Reaches New 52-Week High (APC)

NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE: APC) hit a new 52-week high Friday as it is currently trading at $89.80, above its previous 52-week high of $89.72 with 1.9 million shares traded as of 2:26 p.m. ET. Average volume has been 3.4 million shares over the past 30 days.

Anadarko has a market cap of $44.21 billion and is part of the basic materials sector and energy industry. Shares are up 18.7% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday.

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation engages in the exploration, development, production, and marketing of natural gas, crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids (NGLs) in the United States and internationally. The company has a P/E ratio of 64.4, above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
