NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Sirius XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) is trading at unusually high volume Wednesday with 102.2 million shares changing hands. It is currently at 2.3 times its average daily volume and trading up 8 cents (+2.2%) at $3.52 as of 3:26 p.m. ET.

Sirius XM Radio has a market cap of $21.7 billion and is part of the services sector and media industry. Shares are up 17.6% year to date as of the close of trading on Tuesday.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. provides satellite radio services in the United States and Canada. The company broadcasts music, sports, entertainment, comedy, talk, news, traffic, and weather channels on subscription fee basis through two satellite radio systems. The company has a P/E ratio of 6.2, below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, solid stock price performance, notable return on equity, good cash flow from operations and increase in net income.
