MasterCard Reaches New 52-Week High (MA)

NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- MasterCard Incorporated (NYSE: MA) hit a new 52-week high Monday as it is currently trading at $557.81, above its previous 52-week high of $557.66 with 118,242 shares traded as of 11:54 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 574,900 shares over the past 30 days.

MasterCard has a market cap of $64.49 billion and is part of the financial sector and financial services industry. Shares are up 13% year to date as of the close of trading on Friday.

MasterCard Incorporated, together with its subsidiaries, provides transaction processing and other payment-related services in the United States and internationally. The company has a P/E ratio of 24.2, above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.

TheStreet Ratings rates MasterCard as a buy. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, impressive record of earnings per share growth, increase in net income, expanding profit margins and good cash flow from operations.
