Zynga, Vodafone, Facebook: Tech Premarket

NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Shares of Zynga ( ZNGA) surged more than 10% in premarket trading on Wednesday, lifted by the company's introduction of real-money gambling in the U.K.

The social gamer's stock climbed 10.75% to $3.40 before market open. Zynga was also the most active premarket Nasdaq stock on share volume of 5,273,685.

Vodafone ( VOD) shares, however, fell 3.15% to $28.48, after Verizon ( VZ) nixed speculation that it would buy all of the British telecom giant.

Verizon shares dipped 0.4% to $49.33.

Shares of Facebook ( FB), which hosts a major press event on Thursday, rose 1.14% to $25.71.

BlackBerry ( BBRY) slipped 1.09% to $14.97.
