BEIJING, March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Xueda Education Group (NYSE: XUE) ("Xueda" or the "Company"), a leading national provider of personalized tutoring services for primary and secondary school students in China, announced today that Mr. Xin Jin, its Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, recently delivered a keynote speech at the signing ceremony of the Self-Regulatory Agreement among Private Tutoring Service Providers (the "SRA"). The SRA was issued by The China Association for Non-Government Education on February 28, 2013. "I'm honored that the Ministry of Education had selected Xueda as the leader and organizer for the signing of the private education industry's first ever self-regulatory document," commented Mr. Jin, "The Ministry of Education has re-emphasized its support for the development of private education and encouraged private education institutions to voluntarily establish the SRA in order to foster more orderly and sustainable development for our nascent and fast-growing industry." The SRA provides a framework of best practices and procedures that regulate such areas as professional qualification, teaching quality, service, safety, and cooperation. The SRA also encourages private education institutions to take into consideration the policies and developments of the education industry and students' individual needs in order to improve the overall quality of the tutoring services. "We believe the signing of the SRA by China's 17 leading private tutoring service providers will help ease the recently heightened concerns over the lack of industry standards for the private tutoring sector. This agreement marks a new era where member institutions now have a comprehensive set of best practices to better serve students. Xueda is committed to exemplifying the SRA's best practices and to proactively raising operating standards for the whole industry. We will continue to focus on delivering the best services to our students and their parents," Mr. Jin concluded.
