Ideal for high-speed backplane switching applications, Mindspeed's signal-conditioning technology not only improves system margin for reliable data transmission, but also enables system designers to use lower-cost board materials and components. The M21024, M21036 and M21048 support switch matrix densities of 24x24, 36x36 and 48x48 respectively and operate at data rates up to 11.8Gbps. The M21605 device is a 160x160 switch operating up to 12.5Gbps. The input equalizer is capable of compensating up to 27 decibels (dB) of loss. The devices also feature ultra-low jitter, which is a critical requirement for crosspoint switches of this speed and size. Its transmit drivers feature output pre-emphasis and adjustable swing for link optimization.
