Identive Selected As Contactless & Mobile Awards Finalist

SANTA ANA, Calif. and ISMANING, Germany, March 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Identive Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:INVE) (Frankfurt:INV), a provider of solutions and services for the identification, security and RFID industries, today announced that it has been selected as a finalist for the 2013 Contactless & Mobile Awards, presented annually by the industry marketing organization Contactless Intelligence.

The Contactless & Mobile Awards are presented to those companies, organizations and retailers who have done the most to embrace and implement contactless or near field communication (NFC) technology into their day-to-day operating practices, and thereby provide leadership to the emergent contactless/NFC industry. There are five categories of awards. Identive was selected as one of four finalists globally in the category "Competitive Advantage" based on its Tagtrail™ mobile services delivery platform which allows advertisers, retailers and organizations of all types and sizes to deliver dynamic, personalized content to users' mobile devices via NFC tags.

"We are honored to be a finalist for a Contactless & Mobile Award and are pleased with the recognition that Tagtrail can provide significant competitive advantage to businesses," said David Holmes, vice president Mobility & NFC Solutions for Identive. "Tagtrails' cloud-based platform makes it easy to deliver a variety of rich, personalized content to mobile phone users using NFC tags and QR codes. Real-time analytics provide feedback about user uptake and preferences, which administrators can use to refine tag content and continually improve the effectiveness of their campaigns. A mobile app provides a fun and engaging experience for users and Tagtrail's tight integration with social networks lets shared tag content go viral. These capabilities allow even small companies to create a giant presence through mobile marketing."

The winner of the 2013 Contactless & Mobile Awards will be announced in London, at a gala dinner on April 30, 2013. More information about the awards can be found on the Contactless Intelligence website at www.contactlessintelligence.com .

"This has been an amazing year for the Contactless and Mobile Awards. We have had the greatest ever amount of entries from all over the world and every entry exhibiting a real flair for innovation when it comes to NFC, contactless or mobile technology. It was an incredibly hard job to choose just four finalists per category – we could have had more, but that would not do justice to those companies that made the final selection per category. To those companies I wish to express my admiration for their innovative solutions and business excellence and wish them all the best of luck for the final selection in their Contactless and Mobile Award categories," said Steve Atkins, CEO of Krowne Communications, the company behind Contactless Intelligence.
