GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., March 8, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- PGA TOUR Superstore has announced a $5,000 grant to The First Tee of Denver and a $5,000 grant to The First Tee of Green Valley Ranch to deliver educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The First Tee chapters conduct programs in the schools, after-school, weekend, and summer programs for more than 12,000 young people annually, including 50 area elementary schools enrolled in The First Tee National School Program. PGA TOUR Superstore will award the check on Saturday, March 9, as part of the PGA TOUR Superstore Golf-O-Rama at the Greenwood Village store. Young people from The First Tee of Denver and the First Tee of Green Valley Ranch will participate in the event, and the public is invited to attend. Across the country, PGA TOUR Superstore and its store associates support The First Tee chapters. In addition to grants, PGA TOUR Superstore provides young people with access to state-of-the-art teaching, club fitting and training. Blank, retired Home Depot co-founder and owner of the Atlanta Falcons and a Trustee of The First Tee.
