Midday Glance: Silver Companies

NEW YORK (AP) â¿¿ Shares of some top silver companies are down at 1 p.m.:

Hecla Mining Co. fell $.60 or 12.9 percent, to $4.04.

Pan American Silver Corp. fell $.54 or 3.3 percent, to $15.70.

Silver Standard Resources Inc. fell $.45 or 4.5 percent, to $9.56.

Silver Wheaton fell $1.14 or 3.6 percent, to $30.61.
