DTS And Saffron Digital Collaborate To Deliver A Superior Audio Experience To Connected Mobile Consumers

DTS, Inc. (NASDAQ: DTSI), a leader in high-definition audio technologies and audio enhancement solutions, today announced that it has partnered with Saffron Digital, which delivers a compelling streaming media experience across all connected devices. DTS and Saffron are collaborating to help content providers and operators differentiate their content on mobile devices by delivering a higher quality experience to the consumer. The solution will be demonstrated at the DTS stand (Hall 5, Stand 5D40) during Mobile World Congress 2013.

The joint offering combines the DTS-HD® codec—an industry standard audio codec, capable of delivering an immersive experience with amazing sound to connected devices—with Saffron Digital’s safe and secure video content delivery service. It will enable content providers, retailers and operators alike to drive additional consumer value by delivering an outstanding audio experience from the studio all the way to the ear.

At MWC 2013, show-goers will be able to experience pristine DTS-encoded audio paired to UltraViolet™ (UV) compliant content, delivered securely through Saffron Digital’s mobile client. The demonstration will showcase the seamless integration of DTS audio technologies and how they deliver outstanding sound via mobile devices over headphones or any connected audio/video receiver.
