Midday Glance: Silver Companies

NEW YORK (AP) â¿¿ Shares of some top silver companies are up at 1 p.m.:

Hecla Mining Co. rose $.16 or 3.3 percent, to $4.90.

Pan American Silver Corp. rose $1.00 or 6.4 percent, to $16.57.

Silver Standard Resources Inc. rose $.59 or 5.8 percent, to $10.81.

Silver Wheaton rose $.34 or 1.1 percent, to $32.53.
