CSR plc (LSE: CSR; NASDAQ: CSRE), today announced that Mustek and Pantum have deployed the CSR Quatro 4300 programmable imaging processor in their new product lines: the Mustek® iScan Air™ Wi-Fi-enabled scanner and the Pantum® P3000 series of monochrome printers. Quatro processors are designed to be the most highly integrated solutions available for efficiently developing the next generation of printers, scanners and all-in-ones (AIOs) that meet the latest EU and U.S. energy-efficiency requirements. Taiwan-based Mustek introduced its new iScan Air wireless scanner, which retails for $169, on the 1 st January, 2013. The product enables users to connect over Wi-Fi® to scan and store copies directly to Android®, iOS®, OS X® and Windows® 8 devices. The iScan Air utilises not only Quatro 4300 for imaging but also the CSR UniFi® CSR6030™ wireless platform. “The Quatro product line enabled us to bring iScan Air to market much more quickly and inexpensively than would have been possible with any other imaging technology,” according to David Chen, Vice President of Research & Development at Mustek. “The fact that the CSR6030 Wi-Fi solution plugs in seamlessly with Quatro streamlined development even further, enabling us to deliver a connected product with high quality scanning capabilities remarkably efficiently.” Based in China, Pantum has gained rapid momentum recently in the market for personal and small workgroup laser printers.
