Handley received a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Active in the community, he is a past president of the local chapter of the National Kidney Foundation. Handley also serves as a volunteer fundraiser, youth basketball coach, and Cub Scouts leader. He enjoys running, ice hockey and basketball.
