Brent crude, used to price international varieties of oil, rose 88 cents to end at $114.36 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange in London.

In other energy futures trading on Nymex:

â¿¿ Wholesale gasoline rose 4 cents to finish at $2.97 per gallon.

â¿¿ Natural gas lost 6 cents to end at $3.23 per 1,000 cubic feet.

â¿¿ Heating oil gained 5 cents to finish at $3.11 a gallon.
