NASSAU, Bahamas, Jan. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Limited (Nasdaq:ULTR) ("Ultrapetrol"), an industrial transportation company serving marine transportation needs in three markets (River Business, Offshore Supply Business and Ocean Business), announced today the expiration of its tender offer (the "Tender Offer") to repurchase up to $80 million of its outstanding 7.25% Convertible Senior Notes due 2017 (the "Notes") in accordance with the provisions of the indenture governing the Notes. The Notes were repurchased at par plus accrued and unpaid interest to, but excluding, the date of repurchase, for a total price of $1,001.61 per $1,000.00 principal amount of Notes. As previously announced, the Tender Offer expired at 5:00 p.m., New York City time on January 22, 2013.
