Southern Theatres Selects Cinedigm Enterprise Software To Centrally Manage Its Digital Theatres

Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM) announced today that Southern Theatres has selected Cinedigm Enterprise, a head office solution, to centrally manage the operation of Southern Theatres, L.L.C. movie theatre locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.

Enterprise is a powerful head office application with 2-way workflow and real-time monitoring features designed to increase operational control and efficiency. Working in conjunction with Cinedigm’s Theatre Command Center, TMS Enterprise provides real-time, consolidated access to every theatre. A unique, rules-based scheduling engine eliminates time-consuming trailer and preshow scheduling tasks currently performed at every theatre. Other features include:
  • Real-time messaging and status of content, KDMs, shows and equipment for every theatre
  • Centralized CPL ID and title mapping
  • Centralized KDM delivery and TDL/FLM management

“Upgrading our theatres to state-of-the-art digital cinemas continued Southern’s tradition of delivering our customers the best movie-going experience possible,” said Ronald Krueger II, COO of Southern Theatres. “Now, with ENTERPRISE, we will greatly improve the back-office efficiency of our business, allowing our staff that much more time to deliver the best, highest quality experience to our audiences.”

Southern Theatres, LLC, is headquartered in New Orleans and was founded by George Solomon in 2002. Solomon has been in the theater business with his family for more than 50 years and launched Southern Theatres, LLC, to develop and operate state-of-the-art, multiplex stadium-seating movie theaters. One of their newest, most innovative locations is The Theatres at Canal Place, exemplifying Southern's continuing commitment to revitalizing their home town of New Orleans. The newly expanded digital nine-plex provides upscale amenities such as gourmet food, luxury seating, and a full bar.

“We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Southern,” said Dan Sherlock, President of Cinedigm Software. “Cinedigm will continue to be an excellent partner to Ronald, George and their team to improve operational efficiencies via the combination of digital cinema and Enterprise solutions.”
