This holiday season, Ryland Homes proudly designated its sales centers as official Toys for Tots donation stations. Through the generosity of Ryland homebuyers, homeowners, employees and contractors some much needed joy was spread to deserving children across the country. Ryland Homes is proud to have been a 2012 National Corporate Sponsor of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Since 1947, Marines have distributed more than 452 million toys to more than 209 million needy children. Over its lifespan, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has supplemented local toy collections with more than 98 million toys, valued at more than $694 million. While the Marines coordinate and manage the program, the Foundation’s success depends on the support of the local community and the kindness of people who donate toys. “Ryland Homes was honored to serve as a National Corporate Sponsor for Toys for Tots this year,” said Peter Skelly, Ryland Homes’ Senior Vice President and President of Homebuilding Operations. “We’d like to thank everyone for their overwhelming generosity - especially in areas like Tampa, Chicago and Denver where literally hundreds of toys were donated. Official Toys for Tots donation stations were located at participating Ryland Homes sales centers nationwide where visitors could drop off new, unwrapped toys to help make it a holiday season these children will never forget.
