TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of TA ® and Petro Stopping Centers ® branded travel centers, announced today that it is offering both MICHELIN ® duals and X One ® tires at participating TA and Petro locations. The addition of the Michelin duals expands TravelCenters’ quality brand offering of commercial truck tires, and gives fleets and owner operators more than 200 additional 24/7/365 points of service for the Michelin brand.

The Michelin steer, drive and trailer tires will be available and serviced at all participating TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube truck service facilities within the TA and Petro network. RoadSquad 24/7/365 emergency roadside service trucks within the network will also carry Michelin tires. TA and Petro will offer the popular Michelin XZA3 ®+ EVERTREAD TM steer, XDN ®2 and X ® Line TM Energy D drive, XT-1 ® trailer, as well as other tread designs and sizes. TA and Petro have been carrying the Michelin X One line of tires since September 2012.

“We are pleased to expand our agreement with Michelin and offer fleets and owner-operators more Michelin quality truck and trailer tire options,” said Tom O’Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters. “Adding dual and wide-base Michelin tires to our tire line up provides drivers with the most tire options over-the-road,” he added.

“This expanded agreement with TravelCenters of America provides our fleet and owner-operator customers additional access to Michelin dual and X One products wherever they need it”, said Vic Koelsch, Chief Operating Officer for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “We are proud to work with the TA and Petro network to offer a full range of tire options over the road.”

TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube facilities offer a combined 1,000 service bays and are staffed by nearly 3,000 technicians trained in TIA (Tire Industry Association) Basic Commercial Tire Service. RoadSquad provides a fully staffed 24/7/365 emergency roadside service, with 450 service trucks located at TA and Petro Stopping Centers locations.
