(TSX-V: SMP) ("Strata" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that effective today, Mr. Jason Bahnsen has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Bahnsen will sit as an independent member of the Board. Mr. Bahnsen is a mining engineer with over 25 years of international mining industry, corporate finance and capital markets experience, with most of this time spent in the Australia and Asia regions. During his career, he has worked for major mining companies, including Rio Tinto, and spent over 10 years working for international investment banks including Deutsche Bank in Australia, Beijing and Hong Kong. While at Deutsche Bank, he was Head of Metals and Mining Asia, leading a number of major resource sector transactions throughout the region. During his investment banking career, Mr. Bahnsen has been involved in over $14 billion dollars in transactions. Most recently, Jason was CEO of Gobi Coal and Energy Limited, a private company focused on the development of coking coal projects in Mongolia.
