Effective November 26th, both Mr. Cheong and Mr. Eng will assume the role of Senior Vice President and will be based at First Trust's Toronto Office. Karl Cheong brings over 10 years of experience in product structuring, asset allocation and sales. Most recently, he was Vice President, Head of Product for Claymore Investments Inc. (recently acquired by Blackrock Asset Management Canada Limited) responsible for product development and management. He also played a significant role in the implementation of key corporate initiatives. Karl holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from McGill University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder (CFA®). Bobby Eng has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He was most recently Director & Vice President, Head of National Accounts at Blackrock Asset Management responsible for retail brokerage senior executive relationships. In addition to being part of the senior management team, Bobby was also instrumental in the success of the iShares, Exchange Traded Funds business responsible for sales and business development across Canada. Bobby also held sales and relationship management roles at Fidelity Retirement Services and National Bank of Canada. He brings extensive knowledge of retail full service brokerage, asset management and advisor distribution. Bobby holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Concordia University and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation from the Investment Management Consultant Association (IMCA).
