NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- RadNet (Nasdaq: RDNT) has been upgraded by TheStreet Ratings from sell to hold. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its compelling growth in net income, revenue growth and good cash flow from operations. However, as a counter to these strengths, we find that the stock has experienced relatively poor performance when compared with the S&P 500 during the past year.

Highlights from the ratings report include:
  • RADNET INC has shown improvement in its earnings for its most recently reported quarter when compared with the same quarter a year earlier. The company has demonstrated a pattern of positive earnings per share growth over the past two years. We feel that this trend should continue. This trend suggests that the performance of the business is improving. During the past fiscal year, RADNET INC turned its bottom line around by earning $0.19 versus -$0.35 in the prior year. This year, the market expects an improvement in earnings ($0.28 versus $0.19).
  • The net income growth from the same quarter one year ago has significantly exceeded that of the S&P 500 and the Health Care Providers & Services industry. The net income increased by 12856.4% when compared to the same quarter one year prior, rising from $0.04 million to $5.05 million.
  • 41.30% is the gross profit margin for RADNET INC which we consider to be strong. It has increased from the same quarter the previous year. Regardless of the strong results of the gross profit margin, the net profit margin of 3.00% trails the industry average.
  • This stock has managed to decline in share value by 3.43% over the past twelve months. Looking ahead, our view is that this company's fundamentals will not have much impact in either direction, allowing the stock to generally move up or down based on the push and pull of the broad market.
