American International Group, Inc. engages in the provision of insurance products and services for the commercial, institutional, and individual customers in the United States and internationally. The company operates in three segments: Chartis, SunAmerica Financial Group, and Aircraft Leasing. American International Group has a market cap of $47.24 billion and is part of the financial sector. The company has a P/E ratio of 2.1, below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 37.9% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday. Currently there are 10 analysts that rate American International Group a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and eight rate it a hold.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, solid stock price performance and compelling growth in net income.
