The stock ranged in price between $29.31-$30.19 after having opened the day at $29.82 as compared to the previous trading day's close of $30.29. Seagate Technology Public Limited Company designs, manufactures, markets, and sells hard disk drives for enterprise storage, client compute, and client non-compute market applications worldwide. Seagate Technology has a market cap of $10.89 billion and is part of the computer hardware industry. The company has a P/E ratio of 3.8, below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 75.9% year to date as of the close of trading on Tuesday. Currently there are four analysts that rate Seagate Technology a buy, one analyst rates it a sell, and 14 rate it a hold.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its robust revenue growth, solid stock price performance, notable return on equity, attractive valuation levels and good cash flow from operations. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company shows low profit margins.

On the positive front, VirnetX ( VHC), up 27.8%, Procera Networks ( PKT), up 14.5%, Tangoe ( TNGO), up 12.7%, and China TechFaith Wireless Comm Tech ( CNTF), up 11.3%, were all gainers within the technology sector with Ciena Corporation ( CIEN) being today's featured technology sector leader.
