Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (Nasdaq: IILG), has added Amarras Sea Village in Argentina to its worldwide network. Situated in the southeast province of Buenos Aires, the property is near Mar del Plata, which is known as the “Pearl of the Atlantic,” and is one of the country’s premier seaside resort towns. “This coastal area attracts millions of visitors every summer because of its miles of sandy beaches and grasslands,” said Marcos Agostini, Interval’s senior vice president of resort sales and business development for Latin America. “Our members will enjoy the spectacular natural setting and the wide range of open-air activities available when they visit Amarras Sea Village.” A retreat with a country-style décor, the resort features spacious two-bedroom units with fully equipped kitchens. On-site amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, game room, solarium, children's playground and barbecue areas. Outdoor enthusiasts can tee off at one of several golf courses in the area or go windsurfing, jet skiing, sailing, fishing, and horseback riding. “Our owners will appreciate the many valuable travel and leisure benefits that they will receive through the affiliation of Amarras Sea Village with Interval. In particular, the extensive array of vacation exchange choices available through the company’s global network,” said Ignacio Vanone, president of Vacaciones Compartidas S.A., operator of the resort. The town of Mar del Plata offers fine dining at many restaurants, as well as entertainment at a variety of clubs, pubs, and discos. There are also a large number of cultural attractions — from film festivals, theater productions and symphonic orchestra to fashion shows and food festivals. Visitors also can explore one of the area’s highlights, Parque Atlantico Mar Chiquita, a spectacular UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The park is home to more than 200 different species of birds and fish.
