NYSE Euronext (NYX) and Four Block will convene an open forum for Human Resources and Veterans Program executives who seek to effectively recruit, retain and engage military veterans. The half-day program, “Integrating Veteran Talent Into Human Capital Strategy,” will be held at the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 from 8:00a.m. to 2:00p.m., and participants will hear from experts and practitioners who will provide first-hand experiences and share useful resources to develop, expand, and implement initiatives to employ and engage military talent. "We're pleased to have a number of great companies joining us in this effort to help tap into a world-class, but often neglected, pool of talent – our nation’s military veterans," said Duncan Niederauer, Chief Executive Officer, NYSE Euronext. "For millions of Americans who have served our nation with honor and dignity, the toughest challenge they face comes not on the battlefield, but in finding rewarding employment after they leave the military. They have given us their best, often at great personal sacrifice and hardship to their families. It’s time we stepped up and give them our best in return." The forum will provide an opportunity for Human Resources and Veterans Program Executives, as well as others who have been charged with developing and implementing Veterans employment initiatives in their organizations, to learn from experts and practitioners who can provide first-hand perspectives and useful resources. As you formulate and/or expand your firm’s plans to recruit, retain and engage Veterans, hear lessons learned and gain insight on best practices. Jack Jacobs, Medal of Honor recipient; Tom Wolzien, Lead Independent Director, TiVo; Mike Abrams, Co-Founder, Four Block and Author, “Networking for Veterans”; Marshall Carter, Deputy Chairman, NYSE Euronext; and Mr. Niederauer.
