Global Data Center Services Provider CyrusOne COO Michael Duckett And VP/GM Of Interconnection Josh Snowhorn To Speak At SIMposium

Global  data center services provider, CyrusOne, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell (NYSE: CBB), has announced its participation in SIMposium 2012, CIO Means Business, in Grapevine, Texas, on October 28-30. At the event, CyrusOne COO Michael Duckett and Vice President and GM of Interconnection Josh Snowhorn will deliver presentations on managing a cloud environment, including data center scalability and flexibility and the benefits of an Internet Exchange.

Snowhorn’s presentation, “The Dynamics of an Internet Exchange and the Cloud,” will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 29, and will provide a brief history of Internet Exchanges (IX) and their relevance for the modern cloud. He will explain the world of peering for the cloud, as well as its benefits for reducing costs, adding performance and enhancing traffic control.

Later in the afternoon, at 3:45 p.m., Duckett will deliver his presentation, “The Colocation Evolution: Providing the Scalability and Flexibility Found in the Cloud,” which will detail the growth of cloud adoption and its impact on data centers. The presentation will explore modern requirements for scalability and flexibility in cloud delivery, and detail the ways in which colocation capabilities are accommodating these demands.
