It is designed initially for the managed foodservice market and will be available to customers in North America. The Elevate POS system is a single-pass point-of-sale solution that allows customers to take advantage of fast-moving trends in application delivery. The cloud-based system uses open architecture for maximum flexibility and scalability and employs VeriShield Protect, an advanced end-to-end encryption technology from VeriFone Systems, Inc. that securely protects cardholder data and helps reduce PCI scope for merchants. Features of the Elevate POS solution include remote deployment capabilities, flexible configuration, intuitive order entry and unified enterprise reporting. The system supports a variety of peripheral devices, including barcode scanners, receipt printers, scales and pole displays. The Elevate POS deployment model is intended to reduce the level of professional services required to implement, configure and manage it. It will be offered as a subscription service product, making it a cost-effective option for customers. The monthly subscription fee will include support and maintenance, and fee schedules can be constructed to cover the cost of terminal hardware and peripherals. Upgrades are delivered automatically as new versions are released.
