Forrester CEO: ‘Marketers In Position To Influence Next Generation Of Business Transformation’

Forrester Research, Inc. Chief Executive Officer, George Colony discussed the expected impact interactive marketers will have on businesses due to their close proximity to hyper-connected customers at global  interactive marketing provider ExactTarget’s (NYSE:ET) annual  Connections conference.

Colony’s insights come during day two of Connections, ExactTarget’s sold-out three-day user conference, featuring practical advice and inspiration to improve interactive marketing across email, mobile, Facebook, Twitter and the Web.

“Marketers have the unique opportunity to harness the power of technology to build their brand, improve relationships with customers and inspire the next generation of interactive marketing,” said Scott Dorsey, co-founder and chief executive officer of ExactTarget. “George’s insights into the future of digital marketing challenge organizations to embrace the power of the hyper-connected consumer and transform interactive marketing to meet their needs.”

Colony is one of more than 150 speakers featured at Connections including keynote addresses from award-winning actor Michael J. Fox, illusionist David Blaine and executives from Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, reddit and the New York Stock Exchange. More than 4,000 ExactTarget clients and partners from around the world are attending the event, which also offers more than 40 breakout sessions featuring eight unique content tracks, including dedicated sessions for business-to-business and day-long workshops for beginners, experts and developers. Breakout session speakers included leaders from GE Home and Business Solutions, Ulta, Carters, Liberty Mutual and Restaurant.com.

“Interactive marketers have the best insight into understanding the next generation of customers,” said Colony. “In order to serve the empowered customers, businesses must empower their teams and support a constantly changing portfolio of channels.”
