Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM) announced today that FilmDistrict will license Cinedigm's Theatrical Distribution System ("TDS") to serve as its technical platform to manage key aspects of the U.S. theatrical distribution of its films. Cinedigm expects implementation will be completed in time to support FilmDistrict’s upcoming theatrical release of RED DAWN in November. FilmDistrict is a leading independent distribution, acquisition, co-production and feature film financing entity, designed to bring commercially viable films to targeted audiences across the United States. The Company focuses its efforts on wide release films from prominent filmmakers with notable casts. To date, successful FilmDistrict titles include INSIDIOUS, SOUL SURFER, DRIVE, SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED and LOOPER. In addition to RED DAWN, upcoming releases include the romantic comedy PLAYING FOR KEEPS starring Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel, Uma Thurman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Judy Greer, and Dennis Quaid on December 7, 2012; PARKER directed by Taylor Hackford and starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez on January 25, 2013; and DEAD MAN DOWN starring Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, Terrence Howard, and Dominic Cooper on March 8, 2013. Cinedigm's TDS system is an essential technology for managing the increasingly complex business of theatrical distribution. TDS enables studios and independent distributors to plan and execute releasing strategies and integrates with all other key internal and vendor systems, while providing real-time, mission-critical business data. “FilmDistrict is a longstanding and valued Cinedigm SaaS client and we are thrilled to partner with them again as their release slates grow,” said Adam Mizel, COO and CFO of Cinedigm. “Having worked with Cinedigm’s team and technology before, we knew that they understood our needs and would work quickly to prepare us for Red Dawn in November – and they have,” said Jim Orr, FilmDistrict’s President of Distribution.
