Nuance’s NDEV Mobile Developer Program Expands Language Availability Across The Middle East, Europe And Asia

(NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced that its successful NDEV Mobile developer program now supports 11 additional languages for voice recognition across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, including, Arabic, Hungarian, Finnish, Czech, Romanian, Turkish, Greek, Malay, Slovak, Indonesian and Vietnamese. NDEV Mobile brings the power of Nuance’s Dragon speech platform to mobile developers worldwide via the Dragon Mobile SDK, offering broad language coverage and high-quality support for top mobile app developers supporting the iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7 platforms.

Consumer demand for voice-enabled mobile apps has continued to fuel NDEV Mobile’s success, now with nearly 12,000 developers participating in the program. And with the availability of over 30 languages for voice recognition and text-to-speech, NDEV Mobile is empowering developers to bring exciting new voice capabilities to even more people in more markets worldwide. Now available are ten new voice recognition languages for dictation and search, the program is also adding text-to-speech support for Czech, Finnish, Hungarian and Brazilian Portuguese.
