NEW YORK (AP) â¿¿ Shares of some top silver companies were up at the close of trading: Hecla Mining Co. rose $.43 or 7.4 percent, to $6.24. Pan American Silver Corp. rose $1.03 or 5.5 percent, to $19.61. Silver Standard Resources Inc. rose $.85 or 5.6 percent, to $15.92. Silver Wheaton rose $2.07 or 5.7 percent, to $38.29.
