Liberty Global Announces Vendor Awards 2012

Liberty Global, Inc. (“Liberty Global”) (Nasdaq: LBTYA, LBTYB and LBTYK) announced the winners of its 2012 ‘Vendor Awards’ at the ‘Liberty Global Technology Summit’ in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Senior management from 80 key vendor partners attended the event together with Liberty Global's senior management in the areas of technology, IT, product development and procurement.

The company recognized its partners’ achievements in four categories: ‘Best Product & Service Quality', 'Best Support & After Sales’, ‘Best Innovation/Breakthrough Supplier’ and the ‘Best Technology Pitch’ at the Liberty Global Technology Summit.

The award for ‘Best Product & Service Quality' was won by Arris, while Technetix won the 'Best Support & After Sales’ award. The award for ‘Best Innovation/Breakthrough Supplier’ went to a group of four partners who jointly contributed to online video platform delivery: Kit Digital, Empathy Lab, thePlatform and Intellicore. The fourth award winner for ‘Best Technology Pitch’ was MirriAd, as selected by the audience at the Summit, which mostly consisted of representatives from key vendor partners as well as Liberty Global employees.

The winners of the first three Liberty Global Technology Awards are selected based on input from a large number of senior executives across the entire Liberty Global group. It is the fifth time that Liberty Global has acknowledged its relationships with its partners and suppliers in this way, especially those relationships that have structurally supported the high level development and innovation of Liberty Global’s business.

“In selecting companies to receive our Vendor Awards, we looked for those partners that have consistently demonstrated a commitment to quality, innovation and an ability to collaborate,” said Balan Nair, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Liberty Global. “We want to thank our partners for helping us to create the highest quality products and services that frequently exceed our customers’ expectations. Liberty Global’s track record of success is due in large part to our suppliers.”
