YouTube is trending upon released its own app for the iPhone. For the first time, new iPhones will no longer feature a default YouTube app already built into the phone. Apple ( AAPL) confirmed the newest version of its mobile operating system, iOS 6, would not feature a built-in YouTube app a month ago, after the two companies decided not to renew a five-year licensing agreement. YouTube released its own app Tuesday, one day ahead of the expected launch of the iPhone 5. YouTube will now have more control over its app, including the ability to show videos with ads, which Apple had not allowed. The app is free to download in the App Store and available for phones running iOS 4.3 or newer.
GoDaddy is another popular search. The domain name registrar's Web site experienced outages on Monday, reportedly due to a hacking attack. The GoDaddy attack reportedly affected millions of Web sites, though the company was not able to confirm whether thousands or millions were impacted. Customers complained that GoDaddy-hosted email accounts and GoDaddy phone service were also down.
