Wal-Mart ( WMT) is trending as the retailer is offering a significant discount on Apple ( AAPL) iTunes gift cards. Wal-Mart is now offering iTunes gift cards worth $100 for $80. Customers can purchase the electronic card online and have it sent to themselves or another person via email or to an iTunes account. Wal-Mart said it could take up to 48 hours for customers to receive an email with a PIN access code to the gift card, though customers will likely receive it within moments of ordering it. The gift card can be used to purchase anything on iTunes - including music, apps, movies and other digital content.
Microsoft ( MSFT) is another popular search. The company has started taking orders for a Windows 8 upgrade. Microsoft had promised the upgrade to customers who purchased a new PC with Windows 7 since June 2. Customers who are eligible for the upgrade can now fill out an online form to submit themselves for the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. The upgrade costs $14.99 and is expected to be delivered on October 26. Customers will receive promo codes via email with instructions on how to purchase the upgrade closer to the October 26 ship date.
