NEW YORK (AP) â¿¿ Shares of some top silver companies were up at the close of trading: Hecla Mining Co. rose $.08 or 1.6 percent, to $4.98. Pan American Silver Corp. rose $.48 or 2.9 percent, to $16.81. Silver Standard Resources Inc. rose $.74 or 5.9 percent, to $13.29. Silver Wheaton rose $.48 or 1.5 percent, to $32.39.
