NEW YORK (AP) â¿¿ Shares of some top silver companies were down at the close of trading: Hecla Mining Co. fell $.10 or 2.2 percent, to $4.40. Pan American Silver Corp. fell $.18 or 1.2 percent, to $14.76. Silver Standard Resources Inc. fell $.58 or 4.5 percent, to $12.21. Silver Wheaton fell $.37 or 1.3 percent, to $27.17.
