This event, “Preparing for Today’s Emerging Workforce,” will take place at the SmartBrief Headquarters in the metro Washington, DC area on Thursday, August 9 th. The event will connect Monster with the educational community for an in-depth look at how to educate, reach and recruit the next generation of job candidates through social media and online networking platforms. Mark Story, “Author of Starting Your Career as a Social Media Manager,” will give the opening keynote on Millennials and Social Media. Panels focusing on using social media to help close the skills gap and social media best practices will include participants from LivingSocial, Discovery Communications, SmartBrief and Johns Hopkins University. “As social media has become mainstream, the ways we interact online have rapidly shifted.
