NEW YORK (AP) â¿¿ Shares of some top silver companies were up at the close of trading: Hecla Mining Co. rose $.11 or 2.5 percent, to $4.56. Pan American Silver Corp. rose $.09 or .6 percent, to $14.06. Silver Standard Resources Inc. rose $.29 or 2.3 percent, to $12.76. Silver Wheaton rose $.72 or 2.7 percent, to $27.24.
