“Our health IT goals of physician alignment and physician satisfaction were not exclusive of each other,” said BocaCare President and Senior Boca Raton Regional Executive Member Frantz Python, “and going forward we have the capabilities to consider Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and broader health information exchange (HIE) participation.”Arizona The Arizona State Physicians Association (ASPA) endorsed PrimeSUITE to its 2,300-member organization comprising a wide range of primary care and specialty practices throughout the state. “It was important to partner with an EHR provider that has stability and a business plan and an efficient EHR that has achieved meaningful use certification,” said Director of Operations Connie Richardson. “All of those things are important, but we also really sought a partner that has a presence and commitment in Arizona and to the future so that we can really build a connected community.” To achieve ASPA’s clinical integration strategy, “the ability for standards-based data exchange was another large factor in selecting PrimeSUITE,” said Richardson. ASPA’s goal is to establish an internal HIE as a clinical data repository. “We want our members to take advantage of all HIE mechanisms such as referrals, consultations, orders and results, and use the same clinical integration within selected areas to pursue or create ACOs, Patient-Centered Medical Homes and to have the ability to join other ACOs and interface with hospitals and state HIEs,” said Richardson. “Integration and interoperability are extremely important to us to allow our physicians to remain independent and still have access to the right technology,” Richardson added. “A lot of EHRs can work in a physician practice, but meaningful use for example is not just about capturing data in a clinical practice, it is capturing data to interoperate and integrate across the healthcare continuum.” Michigan The Huron Valley Physicians Association (HVPA) is endorsing PrimeSUITE to its 600 members throughout a four-county region to establish standard EHR platforms and to further data exchange internally with area hospitals toward the creation of multifaceted data registries.
According to HVPA Director of Operations Debra Roberts, PrimeSUITE’s established integration with the association’s original and popular modular technologies was a “value add” toward establishing a broader EHR platform, alongside selection factors such as usability, data exchange and meaningful use certification. “We were also attracted to the progressiveness of Greenway as a company that was already working ahead of the curves,” said Roberts.HVPA originally introduced a stand-alone electronic prescribing function to its members, followed by a patient portal and an internally designed and certified Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) registry, but wanted to migrate its members onto a more comprehensive and contained platform. “When we found that Greenway was already working with the health IT resources we had in place, in addition to the functionality and interoperability of PrimeSUITE, that was big deciding factor.” From there, Roberts and the association concentrated on data aggregation and exchange goals to populate data gaps in its Health Focus Disease Registry for Population Management, for example. “We receive data from our local hospitals and health plans and we were looking for data feeds for our population management registries,” said Roberts. “Now we can consolidate data with EHR and practice management integration and pursue external data to also enhance quality reporting. The overall goal of more complete data was also an important value add for HVPA and our members.” New York The Independent Physicians Association of Nassau/Suffolk Counties purchased PrimeSUITE for its more than 200 members to establish data exchange with area hospitals and care coordination programs capable of meeting quality reporting incentive programs. Formed in April of 2011, the association wanted to quickly upgrade its disparate systems, according to Operations Administrator Frank DiMotta. “We selected Greenway as a long-term partner for PrimeSUITE’s range of solutions to suit our diverse membership. We want to grow with a company that will be around for a long time, and we have members currently without an EHR, some with older systems or modules, and we have a lot of migration to do and needed strong service and support.”
The IPA’s diversity ranges from primary care physicians to ENTs, cardiology, neurology and oncology specialists, and the North Shore Surgical Center, for example.“Greenway’s patented templating and flexibility for EHR specialty use was attractive to our selection committee,” said DiMotta, “and our goals include membership in Accountable Care Organizations and the receipt of meaningful use incentive funds for our members, which all requires an integrated system that can share standardized data.” About Greenway and PrimeSUITE Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc.
