BluePhoenix Solutions Signs Deal To Deliver Modernized Insurance And Financial System To A Large UK Provider

BluePhoenix Solutions (NASDAQ: BPHX), the leading provider of legacy IT conversion solutions, announced today that it has started a project with a large insurance and financial services provider in the UK to convert from a legacy platform of Natural Adabas running on DEC-Alpha equipment to a Microsoft C# and SQL Server based environment.

BluePhoenix has been hired to convert around 1.5 million lines of code and almost 300 Adabas files. “We are excited to be a part of another strategic project where we are taking old, outdated systems and bringing them forward to modern Microsoft technology,” said John Regan project manager. He went on to say, “We strive for three major goals when delivering our projects: like for like functionality, easy maintainability, and increased performance.”

The bulk of the work is being done by BluePhoenix subsidiary Zulu Software who specialize in Natural Adabas migrations. “The Zulu Software team is widely known as the foremost experts in the conversion space for this type of technology and we are lucky to have them as part of our solution,” said Matt Bell, President of BluePhoenix.
