The Glee creator just held a fundraiser for President Barack Obama at his Beverly Hills home, but Murphy's looking to recoup a little cash for himself by selling this beachfront property he just bought from actress Charlize Theron last year. The house may have been drained of its original glee after Theron's split from husband Stuart Thompson forced its sale last year, but it still has enough amenities to coax a smile out of Sue Sylvester. The 2,095-square-foot home has three bedrooms, three and a half baths as well as beachfront perks including an oversized waterfront deck with lounge, cabana, spa, firepit and outdoor shower. Oprah Winfrey's Chicago condo Location: Chicago Price: $2.8 million
The good news is that media mogul and former talk show giant Oprah Winfrey is letting this lakefront condo go for half of what she paid for it in 2006. The bad news? She's never actually lived there. Winfrey still spends most of her time in California and Hawaii. When she does come back to Chicago, she stays at one of her other properties along Chicago's Gold Coast. Yep, in Oprah's world three full baths, two half baths, 10-foot ceilings, two fireplaces, an inner foyer, a library, a solarium, a formal dining room, a butler's pantry, a wine room, a custom eat-in kitchen, a 1,241-square-foot master bedroom with his-and-hers bathrooms and an en-suite guest bedroom are just what you need in your pied-a-terre. Claire Danes' Soho apartment Location: New York City Price: $6 million
Danes has come a long way from playing sullen, disaffected Angela in the ever-so-'90s drama My So-Called Life to winning this year's Best Actress Golden Globe for her role in Showtime's Homeland. Her taste in real estate is apparently evolving as well. Danes and husband Hugh Dancy are parting with their 4,000-square-foot loft and its high ceilings, 16 windows, exposed brick and hardwood floors. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home on quiet, cobblestoned Wooster Street also includes a wood-burning fireplace and direct elevator access. Only Danes knows what the next step is from there, but that foundation's nothing to sulk about. Edie Falco's Tribeca penthouse Location: New York City Price: $5.5 million
The Nurse Jackie and Sopranos star is growing out of this duplex, which is a fairly impressive feat given its size. The 3,000-square-foot penthouse boasts four bedrooms, a home office, three full bathrooms, soaring ceilings and two terraces that add an additional 950 square feet. When she bought the place for $3.8 million back in 2005 it was just her and her son Anderson taking up that space. Since the addition of her daughter Macy in 2008, even that much space began to feel a bit cramped. Maybe some other buyer can make do.
