Leading Analyst Firm Names Neonode A Cool Vendor For 2012

Neonode Inc. (NASDAQ:NEON), the leading multi-sensing touch technology company, announced today it has been named one of the “Cool Vendors In Touch and Gesture Control 2012”* by technology research and analyst firm Gartner, Inc.

According to the Gartner report, “Touch and gesture user interfaces have become the recognizable face of mobile devices such as smartphones and media tablets. Free-air gesture control is mostly seen today in games consoles. Cool Vendors are those that have caught Gartner's interest during the past year because they offer innovative and intriguing technologies or solutions.” Gartner cites Neonode and its MultiSensing™ touch solution as innovative in the touch and gesture control marketplace.

“We are very happy that Gartner acknowledged us as a Cool Vendor for 2012. We believe that being included in the report shows that Neonode is gaining further market traction and making a genuine impact on the touch and gesture control market,” stated Neonode CEO Thomas Eriksson. “The rapid market recognition our MultiSensing™ solution is receiving confirms that our mission to bring user experience beyond traditional touch to our customers continues to pay off.”

Neonode’s MultiSensing™ Touch solution demonstrates a far more augmented and profound user experience than traditional multi touch. MultiSensing™, built on Neonode’s patented optical 2D multi-touch technology, zForce, identifies any object and its size, the pressure, depth, speed and the proximity of an object to a surface. It uses light with zero latency that can sense any object - like an ordinary pen, a brush, bare/gloved finger, at very high speed.

Neonode MultiSensing™ is being implemented in millions of commercial devices such as mobile phones, tablets, e-readers, printers, toys and automotive controls.
