NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Ferrellgas Partners (NYSE: FGP) hit a new 52-week low Monday as it is currently trading at $15.59, below its previous 52-week low of $15.61 with 812,662 shares traded as of 11:40 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 257,600 shares over the past 30 days.

Ferrellgas has a market cap of $1.32 billion and is part of the basic materials sector and energy industry. Shares are down 12% year to date as of the close of trading on Friday.

Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. engages in the distribution and sale of propane, and related equipment and supplies primarily in the United States.
