Chemtura Announces Price Increase On Antioxidants And UV Stabilizers

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE: CHMT) has announced that it is raising the price of the products supplied by the Polymer Antioxidant and UV Stabilizer Business effective April 1, 2012, or as contract terms allow, primarily as the result of continued and significant escalation in the cost of key raw materials used in the manufacture of Antioxidants and UV Stabilizers. Chemtura will increase the prices of its Antioxidants and UV Stabilizers products by up to 15 percent. Despite Chemtura’s constant initiatives to reduce costs, these increases are essential to sustain Chemtura as a viable supplier and to enable continued reinvestment.

Chemtura, with 2011 sales of $3 billion, is a global manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, and pool, spa and home care products. Additional information concerning Chemtura is available at www.chemtura.com.
