Symetra Investment Services, Inc. (SIS), has named John Forrest, CRPC ®, as director of business development. A 30-year financial services industry veteran, Forrest will be responsible for relationship management, advisor development and sales management. He reports to SIS President Richard Moran. Forrest joins Symetra from Lincoln Financial Network, the retail sales and financial planning affiliates of Lincoln Financial Group. He served as director of sales and business development for both Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp., and Lincoln Financial Securities Corp., with more than 3,000 registered representatives. Before that, he was senior relationship manager at Oppenheimer Funds Distributors in New York. Forrest started his career at MML Investor Services, the retail broker-dealer for Mass Mutual Financial Group. During his 17-year tenure at MML, he became national sales director and a member of the independent broker-dealer executive committee. “John is a seasoned business development professional who will bring a new dynamic to SIS,” said Richard Moran. “His diverse financial experience and broad network of industry relationships will help us accelerate growth and expand our broker-dealer operation.” Forrest earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics and a master of education degree from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.
