Additionally, David Rosenberg and Peter H. Blum have been appointed Co-Presidents and Chief Executive Officers of Ladenburg’s broker dealer, Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., and Steven Kaplan has been named Head of Capital Markets. Mark Zeitchick, who previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., will continue to serve as Executive Vice President at Ladenburg and as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors, positions he has held since 1999.

Adam Malamed previously served as Co-Chief Operating Officer of Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. Mr. Malamed brings 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, and has helped oversee the growth of the firm’s Investment Banking and Asset Management businesses, as well as managing the successful integration of Ladenburg’s newly acquired independent broker-dealer units. Prior to joining Ladenburg, Mr. Malamed served as President and Co-Founder of BroadWall Capital, LLC, a financial services firm specializing in institutional sales & trading, private client services and equity research, certain assets of which were sold to Ladenburg in 2006. Mr. Malamed holds a degree from Brooklyn College, and serves as a Vice President on the Executive Committee of the Miami Children’s Museum.

Prior to joining Ladenburg in 2004, Mr. Blum was President of Bear Ridge Capital LLC, a financial advisory firm specializing in providing strategic merger and acquisition advice and providing private capital to businesses primarily in the energy sector. Prior to that, he held senior banking positions at various Wall Street firms. He started his career at Arthur Young & Co. as a practicing C.P.A. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
