In 1996, Stephens co-founded The Procurement Centre, which sought to harness the expertise of supply chain subject-matter experts to serve as consultants. In 2002, as globalization became a top management challenge, Stephens was a driving force of the acquisition of The Procurement Centre by Resources Global Professionals, which has multinational operations across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Throughout more than 25 years of experience, Stephens has held the titles of CEO, COO, board member and owner within the professional/financial services, distribution, commercial lending and consulting industries. He started two successful companies and grew them to profitability. Both were sold to large global companies. Stephens was recognized as Supply & Demand Chain Executive's Pro To Know for 2007, 2008 and 2010, nominated for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001 and led The Procurement Centre to national recognition in the INC 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America in 2002. Stephens holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance with a special emphasis on economics from Texas A&M University.
