Nobody has been reported injured and there was no effect on We Energiesâ¿¿ Oak Creek power plant operations after a sizable portion of the bluff near the generation station collapsed at around 10:45 Monday morning.

The collapse occurred south of the original power plant building, said We Energies spokeswoman Cathy Schulze. The Oak Creek facility on the shore of Lake Michigan has been undergoing an expansion project over the past several years. Emergency officials from many agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, have responded to the bluff collapse, she said.

All employees of We Energies and of contractors at the plant have been accounted for and there are no reports of injuries, Schulze said.

⿿We did have equipment that fell with the bluff; it looks like construction trailers that were filled with tools and various equipment,⿝ she said.
