Sacramento County is getting plugged in. It has installed electric vehicle charging stations that also will be available to the public for no charge.

The county Department of General Services, Fleet Services will unveil the charging stations today at 1:30 p.m., with an official demonstration by Supervisor Don Nottoli at Branch Center at 4001 Branch Center Road, in the county service area. The other location will be in the Sacramento downtown county garage.

The equipment is provided by ChargePoint America through American Recovery and Reinvestment Act money. Sacramento County paid for the installation.

The charging stations are not the only ones in the area, however. EV Charger News has a list of stations in the region.
