NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- YouTube may get into the business of producing original content. The video giant, owned by Google ( GOOG), is reportedly preparing to announce several partnerships with media companies and personalities to produce content, according to The Wall Street Journal. The newspaper names major media companies such as IAC/InterActiveCorp.'s ( IACI)Electus, News Corp.'s ( NWSA) ShineReveille unit, RTL Group's FremantleMedia, as well as skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and CSI creator Anthony Zuiker, as expected partners. - Reported by Jeanine Poggi in New York.
